Prehistoric Stone Sites of the Celtic Area The prehistoric stone circles are NOT from the Celtic civilization. They are from a much earlier ti me. The long borrows started being built in the Neolithic period about 3500 years B.C., with the circles being built about a thousand years later. Even though the Druids did not build the stone monuments they may have worshiped there in their own way. There are modern day Druids who still do this. I have a great need to say something about vandalism of megalithic
stone sites. Whether it is bonfires, tea lights, candles and there wax
they all can destroy stones. Bonfires built near stones or on them will
crack them. The ashes are unsightly for those that come after you. Candles
tea lights that heat up any stone surface causes cracks that evenualy
will allow the stone to crack and break. Again, candle stubes and tea
light containers and wax are unsightly for those who come after you.
You don't need to take anything with you to tap the energy at these
sites. Please don't take your ritual stuff with you to worship. It is
not necessary. I
will tell you why by relating a tale told to me by Jewish rabbi at a
Christian summer camp when I was young. The tale goes something like
this:
I would like to hear from you and share your ideas and experiences. back to Leslie Kirc's Creations
