Prehistoric Stone Sites of the Celtic Area

The prehistoric stone circles are NOT from the Celtic civilization. They are from a much earlier ti me. The long borrows started being built in the Neolithic period about 3500 years B.C., with the circles being built about a thousand years later. Even though the Druids did not build the stone monuments they may have worshiped there in their own way. There are modern day Druids who still do this.

I have a great need to say something about vandalism of megalithic stone sites. Whether it is bonfires, tea lights, candles and there wax they all can destroy stones. Bonfires built near stones or on them will crack them. The ashes are unsightly for those that come after you. Candles tea lights that heat up any stone surface causes cracks that evenualy will allow the stone to crack and break. Again, candle stubes and tea light containers and wax are unsightly for those who come after you. You don't need to take anything with you to tap the energy at these sites. Please don't take your ritual stuff with you to worship. It is not necessary. I will tell you why by relating a tale told to me by Jewish rabbi at a Christian summer camp when I was young. The tale goes something like this:

There were a people that had a crisis and a great need. They prayed to their God and their prayer was answered. They where so thankful that they built a beautiful temple to their God and sang songs of praise and prayed and decorated their altar with many wonderful things. As the years and centuries had gone by, the building had fallen into disrepair and the altar was all worn out. Again the people were at a point of great need. They were very distressed that their temple and altar were in such deterioration and didn't know what to do. So they just went to the sight and sang the songs and prayed. Guess what? Their God answered them. Again many years had gone by and they were in great need. This time they did not know where the old temple had stood and they had forgotten all the songs and prayers. They were very distressed. They just fell on their knees and beseeched God to help them. And they were helped.

I have drawn on the energy of Avebury several times. I have been healed and my life changed. I did this in the tourist season in broad daylight. I had nothing on but tourist clothes and a need in my heart. I did nothing more then lightly touch a stone and sit on another that was a few inches above the ground. I didn't climb on big stones or go on private property or leave anything behind.

I would like to hear from you and share your ideas and experiences.
